The Cheers off license* beside the Silver Granite in Palmerstown is always an odd one. Their speciality beer selection is small but at least they have one. The night before I went to Cardiff I picked up a few beers to do me at my mom's house. One of them was Rosey Nosey by Batemans. How could I resist the Santa and snowman label?
Well the aroma was pretty much plum pudding. Plenty of Digestive biscuits and some orange as well. In the mouth it was a little on the thin side but all of those aromas were out in force in the taste and it was surprisingly bitter for such a sweet smelling beer. A dry and spicy finish left me wanting more. I could drink this any time, it is not such a Christmas beer that drinking it out of season seems wrong.
*Sadly I also noticed that the Redbreast 12 year old Whiskey that they had been selling for €35 for years was now at a more normal price of €45
