I did not mention it in the report as it made no real difference. I did let the beer get to room temp. I let all beers I drink go from cold (if straight from fridge) to room temp so I can see what starts to appear.
In the case of Lee's I did not get anything interesting. Oh I got what I expected such as some chocolate, treacle, brown sugar and dark fruit but it was all muted and barely there even at room temp.

I'm not queuing up to buy it myself, but I think you may have underrated the Lees' slightly if you chugged it cold - you're not going to taste much of what little flavour it has got left if you don't let it come within hailing distance of room temp.

Punch Bowl is one of four Nicholsons pubs (I can think of) in York and one of the best.

You shall certainly have to return again as you've msised plenty of decent places!

My drills did not turn out much good. The cordless could not turn it and the power drill just can't go slow enough.
I brewed at the weekend and ended up using the hand crank. Thankfully I can just attach it to the modified nut and hold it in place with a bolt.

AS to durability, they have plenty of weight but they are made of that metal alloy substance that can easily snap from memory. I don't know what it's called but it reminds me of what old school (70's/80's) window handles were made of.

Not too much waffle for my stomach... I've read a couple session posts that mention the anticipation of drinking beer as part of the beer moment... glad I wasn't the only one...
